Ho Chi Minh, which means "he who enlightens" was a member of the French communist party as a youth, in 1930 he founded the Indochinese party. After many years of self exile he returned to Vietnam in 1941 and assisted the Americans in their efforts to erode Japanese influence in Southeast Asia. In 1964, Ho coordinated the resistance against American troops under the motto "Viet Nam is one country."

 Every day at 12 noon there is a religious ceremony in the temple of the "Holy See." The monks wear a different color robe to designate the particular religious doctrines to which they adhere.
