The Orangutan differs from all other apes and monkeys in that adults lead a mostly solitary life, although the ranges of individuals may overlap.
Large males stand 1.4 meters tall and they may weigh up to 50 kg; their reach between outstretched arms may be as much as 2.4 meters.
