A marine biologist and professional naturalist, Jack Stein Grove has spent much of the past two decades traveling on, photographing and lecturing about, the world's oceans. The adventurous lifestyle of this 20th-century naturalist is reflected in Jack's travel schedule. Since his first expedition to Antarctica in 1985, he has participated in at least 20 expeditions to the southernmost continent during the Austral summer and has led numerous expeditions to the Galápagos where he lived for seven years. He has served as lecturer with Jean-Michael Cousteau aboard the Royal Viking Queen on a series of voyages from Cocos Island around South America to the Falklands; and as expedition leader along the west coast of South America from Guayaquil, Ecuador, to Puerto Mont, Chile. He also participated as marine naturalist aboard an expedition to the Weddell Sea by Russian icebreaker. |
